What eight weeks of chart craft actually covers

A transparent map of the Foundation Chart Reading Intensive — the same spine that shorter clinics compress when time is tight.

Foundation Intensive

Session spine

Each week pairs a focused teaching block with live markup. Homework stays on markets you already follow.

Week 1

Candlestick language without folklore

Bodies, wicks, and context. You practise naming candles by auction meaning rather than memorised labels, then redraw a week of ASX leaders with commentary stripped of hindsight.

Week 2

Swing structure and trend definition

Higher highs, failed swings, and when a trend is simply ranging in disguise. Students leave with a one-sentence bias template for three instruments.

Week 3

Support and resistance as zones

Thick bands instead of hairline prices. Mapping congestion from prior sessions and choosing invalidation at the outer edge.

Week 4

Volume as sponsorship, not decoration

Three volume checks that fit on a sticky note. Comparing impulse and pullback sponsorship on FX and equity charts.

Week 5

Classical patterns with cancel rules

Triangles, flags, and head-and-shoulders treated as hypotheses. Measuring targets only after writing the cancel condition.

Week 6

Failed patterns and reclaim trades

Neckline reclaims, false breaks, and why shallow right shoulders often warn early. Journal language for renaming hope as risk.

Week 7

Opening auctions and the first hour

Gap behaviour on ASX names, relative volume at the open, and when to treat the first thirty minutes as information only.

Week 8

Personal playbook and final review

Each participant presents five setups with entry, invalidation, and target rules. Two private chart reviews land in this fortnight.
